  2. Hi guys. Here is a new tutorial showing you how to use @TheDarkprogramer's fancy new tool to make your life much easier. He has done well with his documentation thus far so i will be quoting some of if below, please feel free to watch my tutorial, alternatively, if you would rather have a written step by step process, please scroll past the video for the written tut! Video: Written Tut: Step 1: Download the latest version of the tool from here. Step 2: Obtain Photoshopping software (recommended) or use paint if you have the patience. Step 3: Obtain an ISO or Rip one from one of your old PS2 games. (You can use Power ISO for this). Step 4: Find some background images for the PS4 homescreen and for the game icon. Step 5: Resize your Icon to 512 x 512 pixels. Step 6: Resize your background to 1920 x 1080 pixels. Step 7: Open the PS2 Classic GUI Tool and select your ISO file by clicking the box with the 3 dots next to the "PS2 ISO" Textbox. Step 8: Change your content ID to whatever you want (Must be in format TTTTNNNNN -- T = Text -- N = Number), would recommend making it the PS2 ID which is displayed above the Content ID Box to the right. Step 9: Make the Title whatever you want Step 10: Right click on the background and icon section to change them. Step 11: Click the "Create PS2 Classic" button Step 12: Profit? Step 13: You can now install your PKG file on your PS4 and it should run like a charm, just make sure to check the compatibility list to make sure your game does not have issues. NOTE: If you ever need to unpack your PKG file, the password is currently set to: ng8II8vax3iXZU7sfI3ugo8XlebJ731o I will update this if anything changes in future, @TheDarkprogramerwill likely change the passcode to 32 "0's" in the near future so stay tuned! Credits to: TheDarkProgramer Flatz cfwprophet zecoxao And everyone else involved in bits of this process along the way! Thank you to everyone out there sharing things for this community and making it what it is. image:

  4. Tutorial: How to rebuild your fake signed & patched raw PS4 game dump to PKG format. Following on my tutorial on "How to dump your own PS4 Disc/PSN Games." i will now show you how you can rebuild a PS4PKG from your gamedump. Step 1 -Get your dump (I will be using a dump of Minecraft) -Get your hands on the "Fake_PKG_Generator tool" Step 2 -In the tool's folder go and run "orbis-pub-sfo.exe" (This tool will let you modify and read stuff stored in param.sfo.) -Go in the folder of your Game dump -> sce_sys -> param.sfo and drag it into the tool. Step 3 -Now go to App setting in the tool and check if the checkbox for "User Management" is checked ON. -Go back to "Core Setting" and copy the content ID. -Close the tool, you won't need it anymore. Step 4 -Go back to the Fake_PKG_Generator folder and open the tool "orbis-pug-gen.exe" -Click "Command" -> "Project Setting". -Click "Package". -Now paste the Content ID that you have copied from your param.sfo into "Content ID:" -In passcode put "00000000000000000000000000000000" (Do this for all your packages so you always remember the passcode.) -Make sure application type is "Paid Standalone Full App". -Click "OK" Step 5 -Doubleclick "Image0". -Before you continue and add the content to the Image0, go to your gamedump & delete these files. (you don't need them and only cause errors in the building process.) -Now go back to the root of your gamedump and drag everything into the tool. -Now Click "Chunk". -Right click "Image0 Root" -> Switch Chunk Assignment Of Files -> #Chunk0 -Then click exit cross. -Now Click "Build" -Close the reminder -Now Enter an output path where the PKG will be stored. -Press build. -You will now be greeted by a keystone error. This is a bug just close and try again. (2nd time should always work.) Step 6 Congrats! If you followed every step carefuly you should now succesfuly built a PS4 game PKG. (That can be found in the output directory!) (save changes will save your .GP4 file it contains info like content id and passcode.) You can now install this on your 4.05 PS4 with PS4HEN enabled just like we did in this tutorial. Big thanks to all devs making this possible! 5. G'day guys. Bringing you some breaking news, if you haven't already heard.... qwerty has recently released his 4.55 Kexploit. This is absolutely great news as this works on firmwares up to and including 4.55. The good news and the bad news... Well the good news is that, as stated above, this will work up to and including 4.55, so this is some hope for all those people who are past 4.05, you have hope for the 4.55 jailbreak. The bad news? Well there are no current public implementations of this, and when i say that, i mean that no one has publicly released the exploit in a ready to go package, like the 4.05 jailbreak. BUT DO NOT FEAR, the information is present for developers to package this up just like the 4.05 jailbreak. We are only missing a few things. We have a Kexploit, but we do not yet have a Userland exploit for 4.55. You might be thinking that this is it right? we wont be able to use this Kexploit for a new jailbreak? Well you are wrong. Userland exploits are usually discovered much easier than the Kexploits. therefore, it should not be long before one is discovered, or publicly released by someone on the scene. Once the Userland exploit is released, it can be coupled with qwerty's Kexploit, and we have similar functionality of the 4.05 jailbreak, but on 4.55 firmware. It might take some time for this to be all put together, i am estimating mid to late march or a working release for end user. But we will see how fast these dev's work! Be patient guys because you don't want them to release chicken scratch code which is unstable and has the potential to damage or brick consoles due to not being complete. The time will come for a release, and when it does, it will be a good one that our dev's have spent lots of time working on to perfect for us!! On a side note, if you are on 4.086 or 4.07, well you might also be in luck!!! Considering we have Userland exploits which work on firmwares up to and including 4.07, this new kexploit can be compatible with those firmwares, so it may be possible that some talented devs will port it to work with 4.07. I personally do not think they will as most people will be looking to have the latest and greatest, this being 4.55, but the potential is there, and only time will tell FINALLY!!!! DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PS4 AFTER READING THIS. We highly recommend staying on the lowest firmware possible at all times, until the scene has 100% progressed to the new firmware. The current golden firmware being 4.05. If you have passed firmware 4.07, then it is up to you where you would like to stay, 4.55 is an expected next jailbreak, but who knows what has been in the works behind the scenes, hence why we recommend to stay on the LOWEST FIRMWARE POSSIBLE! Hope you guys enjoyed this write up, and get psyched for the future. At work? or at home doing homework and too busy to read this? Listen to my YouTube video below explaining all that is written here, rather then reading it Stay tuned for all the latest jailbreak news! Source: wololo.net Thumbnail:
  6. Tutorial: Running the 4.05 kernelexploit & injecting our first payload! (In this tutorial i'll show you how to localy host & run the kernelexploit without having to go through the manuals for 25times...) Requirements: Preparing your Playstation 4 console: Preparing your Computer: Step 1: Now go to your PS4 and Set up an internet connection by simply changing the primary DNS with your Computer's IP as your primary DNS. Secondary DNS should be blank (0.0.0.0) & test your connection. Go to the user's guide and launch it You should now see something like this in your CMD screen: And something like this on your PS4 (depending what language you use.) : Step 2: On your PC, go to C:/Xampp/htdocs/and create the corresponding folders to have the same path Like just displayed on the PS4. (this path is different for everyone because of the language you are using.) For example mine is: C:\xampp\htdocs\document\nl Now extract the Webkit + Kernel exploit to a normal folder and rename it to "ps4". Place the "ps4" folder into your folder so the path matches. For me the path now is C:\xampp\htdocs\document\nl\ps4 Step 3: Now go back to your Playstation 4 and launch the user's manual again! If you followed everything you should now see a screen telling that the kernel exploit ran succesful! Step 4: Don't close the manual just yet! We will now send a payload to your Playstation 4 to enable the debug settings. Run Netcat GUI -> enter the IP of you ps4 -> change port from 9023 to 9020 -> select the debug_settings.bin file & click "inject payload". Now click the PS button on your controller to exit to the PS4 UI , now go into settings and scroll to the lower bottom you should now be prompted with the debug settings. Step 5 (extra): In this extra step we will now permanently enable the normal web browser so we don't have to do all this again everytime. Now go back to the user's manual you should now see this screen: Now we need to inject the enableWebBrowser405.bin payload just the same way like we injected debug settings payload. Once injected exit the user's manual by clicking the PS button on your controller & now you can access the normal web browser and use this to run the exploit in the future! (then just go to "your pc's ip"/document/nl/ps4) or other location where the ps4 folder is stored it doesn't matter anymore now. Have fun!!
  7. Hi Guys. Welcome to the PS4 Hacking/Modding scene and welcome to 2018. Today i will be showing you guys, how to run the PS4 4.05 exploit on any PS4 (brand new out of the box, or which was once activated and used) which is on firmware ,<= 4.05, and how to open the Advanced ★Debug Settings on the ps4 You will need a PC, a PS4 on firmware equal to 4.05 or lower, and a network connection. Now i have a video here showing how to achieve this below, but if you would rather read on how to do this, please scroll down further and i will write the instructions below. Please make sure to follow every step carefully. DISCLAIMER! Please be careful with debug settings as there are options in there which can brick your PS4 if you do not know what you are doing. Please steer clear of IDU mode as that will turn your PS4 into a kiosk. I highly recommend using an Ethernet cable to connect the PS4 to a Router and another Ethernet cable to connect the PC to the same router. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK OR DAMAGE ANY OF YOUR HARDWARE. So please use care and if you don't know what something is, don't touch it Happy Modding. Video: WRITTEN Tutorial: Ok guys so first off you will want to download these files below as you will need every single one of them to fully follow this tutorial. Downloads ---➣ ps4-exploit-host - https://github.com/Al-Azif/ps4-exploit-host/releases ---➣ Advanced ★DEBUG Settings Payload - https://mega.nz/#!O5hiHRzK!jh6nKnFe_w5jXUnOz_fMwYueZkW1u7tfxZMfX86Q-YE ---➣ Python 3 - https://www.python.org/downloads/ If you need to update to 4.05, please select a link from below and download the 4.05 firmware. ---➣ Firmware Files (GBATemp) - https://gbatemp.net/threads/ps4-firmw... ---➣ Firmware Files (sce.party) - https://sce.party/?page=firmwares Right you have everything now? Good. Make sure you extract all the zip files into their own respected folders, inside a folder with all your ps4 hack files Next you will have to install python. Please follow on screen prompts and install it. Ok so now we have set up the environment we need to run the server on the PC. IF YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOU PS4 AND HAVE DOWNLOADED THE UPDATE FILES, THIS WILL BE THE TIME TO UPDATE. - to update you might need to go into recovery mode if your ps4 has already downloaded a later version of the firmware. - Make a folder on the root of your usb called 'PS4' and inside that make a new folder called 'UPDATE' if you have done so then you can past your 'PS4UPDATE.pup' into the update folder. - from here you will need to figure out how you are going to update, weather it will be from the home menu or recovery. make sure you check what version is showing up on the home menu prior to updating if you will be going that way. Now that you are on firmware 4.05 we can commence Jailbreaking and setting up the exploit. Start up the server - Please take the 'fullDebugSettings405' file you downloaded (or modified) and place it into the payloads folder in the 'ps4-exploit-host' folder - Open a CMD window as admin - cd into the directory where your 'ps4-exploit-host' folder is located - Once you are there you will need to type 'Start.py' and it will start the server - (if you get any errors you might need to make sure ports 80 and 53 are not in use by other applications - Then press 1 and hit enter - (if you get any errors you might need to make sure ports 80 and 53 are not in use by other applications - You should see a message telling you that the server is running and you might get a check box that comes up asking to allow python to access the network, tick both boxes and press 'Allow' - if all is still well and you have no errors, then we are ready to move to the PS4. (NOTE: you sould see your DNS ip displayed on the console) First, you will need to go to network settings on the PS4. You will need to make your settings as such: - IP - 192.168.1.6 (or you can leave it as whatever you want if you will be changing the IP in the payload file) - Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0 - Default gateway - (you need to find out what your routers ip is and put it in) - DNS (This will be displayed on the CMD prompt console when we run the server) - leave DNS 2 as - 0.0.0.0 Make sure to save the settings and do a network test - As long as the PS4 obtains an IP and has internet access then this is fine. PSN will fail. Now that is all set up, we will now launch the exploit. Please head over to the user manuals at the top of settings, open it and observe the CMD console. It should start displaying more information, and ask if you would like to inject the FTP payload (fullDebugSettings405.bin). - Press 1 and hit enter. to inject the payload. Once an Error Pops up on the screen, simply back out with Button, and go back to settings. Scroll down to the bottom and there should be ★Debug Settings. Profit? Hope this helped you guys. Please make sure to ask any questions you may have below and i will do my best to help you. Sooooooo..... If you're still reading this you might have got yourself stuck in IDU mode.... I told you not to do it, Anyways. Thanks to Al Azif for the Method to get out of IDU mode, and thanks to @dev-ps3 for the tip.
  8. Tutorial: How to dump your own PS4 Disc/PSN Games. (In this tutorial i'll show you how to easily dump your PS4 games that you own.) Following on my previous tutorial i will now show how you can dump your own PS4 Disc or PSN games. Step 1 -Go Start up your PS4, do not run any exploit just yet. -Insert a game disk and wait until it's installed. (If you're about to dump a PSN game then this step isn't for you.) (I will use Maffia III for this tuto!) Step 2 -Run your game (When it's the first time you run the game it might ask you to install ingame example: GTA5,MaffiaIII...) -Let the game boot & make sure you're atleast in the main menu. Step 3 -Grab a USB drive or Portable HDD and plug it into the most right USB port of your ps4. (Make sure you have enough memory for the game you want to dump & make sure the file system is ExFat ) -Minimize your game. Step 4 -Open the Web browser & run the kernel exploit (if you don't know how to do this you should look at my previous tutorial!) -Do NOT close the browser!! Step 5 -Now head onto your computer. -Run NetCat GUI change the IP to your ps4's IP & port to 9020 & send this payload to your ps4. (This payload dumps, patches,&fake signs your game!) Step 6 -Wait until your Game is fully dumped! (Your PS4 will automaticaly power off! It's not a kernel panic so don't worry!!) Step 7 -Congrats! You now have fully dumped your game! (raw patched & fake signed dump) Note: I will make another tutorial in the future on how to build your own PKG from your gamedump so you can install it on your hacked PS4! BTW: Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/OfficialThibobo Your dump should look like this! (Note: Every game is different & might look different, but the directories stay the same!) A few examples: Carmageddon reincarnation Far Cry 4: Grand Theft Auto 5:
  9. Hi Guys, today i am bringing you information on the new SNES emulator for PS4, we can finally emulate our favorite SNES games. Well to be honest, this isn't native PS4 homebrew, as it is a port from the original PS2 emulator, it seems they have packaged it in a PS2 to PS4 pkg file. This has been ported by Nominus and should work on any PS4 running on exploited 4.05 Firmware. The way it works seems to be quite simple, you will need to package your own iso file with SNES games prepackaged as the emulator is not able to escape from the PS2 Sandbox, therefore, all the files need to be included in the package for the time being and then USB support can be added if anyone finds out how to escape the Sandbox. To create your own emulator package, please follow instructions below, there will be download links included. I will also create a video once i have more time and it will show you how it all works. Downloads: SnesStation.zip SNES_STATION.pkg SnesStationIcon.zip Once you have downloaded the files above, please follow the instructions below to create your pkg file. (these can be found on the readme in the files.) 1. Open disc01 place ROM files in folder 2. Open cdgenPS2.exe, drag all files located INSIDE disc01 folder into cdgenPS2 3. Click IMG on left side, save as disc01.iso [make sure it's an iso file] 4. This is your disc01 for you PS4 FPKG building. 5. Continue to build PS4-PS2 package as usual. Install on PS4 and enjoy. Thanks for reading guys, and as always, peace out and stay tuned for the next tutorial.

  11. Following on my previous tutorial " How to run the ps4 4.05 kernel exploit for the first time " I will now explain how to install and run our first ever ps4 homebrew pkg. & it's very simple. Step 1 Go and follow my previous tutorial. Run the kernel exploit from browser or the manual it doesn,t matter. Step 2 Now inject this payload just like we did with another payload in my previous tutorial. (This payload will enable the debug settings & will "enable" running homebrew) Step 3 Now put this .pkg file on the root of a fat32 formatted USB drive. And insert it into one of the usb ports on your PS4 Step 4 Now go to settings -> network & disable internet connection ( that because everytime you want to launch the homebrew app it'll automaticaly download the latest firmware version.) Then go to settings -> debug settings -> Game -> Package installer & click on the testapp.pkg to install. Step 5 Now go back to the PS4 UI & launch the homebrew application, just click "install later" when it asks you to install the latest fw version to use internet connection. Enjoy!!! Thanks to every developer involved!

It should start displaying more information, and ask if you would like to inject the FTP payload (hello.bin). - Press 1 and hit enter. to inject the payload.F Now if your PS4 does not show any errors on the webpage, leave it open as we will now be accessing the PS4 via FTP. - Open Filezilla on PC - Enter the IP of the PS4 (should be 192.168.1.6 if you did not modify the hello.bin file) - The Username is anonymous. - Leave the Password box empty. - The port is 1337 - Press enter and you now have full access. Hope this helped you guys. Please make sure to ask any questions you may have below and i will do my best to help you

  14. "Ukko's Journey" released; the very first "Blu-Play" homebrew game for PS3, PS4 and XB1! Intro "Ukko's Journey" was originally developed as a cellphone game back in 2008-2009 by LuBlu Entertainment. Now here in 2017 the same team has ported the game to Blu-Play, proof-of-concept demonstration to show an example of a what you can do with Blu-Play. Blu-Play games are "small-scale homebrew games coded with Blu-ray Disc Java (BD-J), and which therefore runs on any game-console that comes with a built-in Blu-ray player", which at present time includes PS3, PS4 and XB1. In other words, you don't need a special version of a Blu-Play title in order to run it on your console. One disc runs on all. More about Blu-Play here. Demonstrated Blu-Play elements - Performance: The game plays with 50+ fps - Audio: Plays ingame music + sound-effects - Persistent storage: Remembers your settings between disc ejects - Controls: 11 buttons on the gamepad useable - Internet: Uploads/downloads highscores to/from UkkosJourney.com - Network: Sends the cellphone version of the game to your Wi-Fi connected JavaME enabled phone via your local network Download Ukko's Journey is 100% free. Download UkkosJourney-BluPlay.ISO here [83 mb] How can I get to play this? For a stock PS3 / PS4 you need to burn the ISO onto a BD-R or BD-RE disc, which means you need a Blu-ray burner. Luckily Blu-ray burners has become very affordable now, and a BD-R disc only costs about half a euro. If you buy a BD-RE, it can be re-used several thousand times due to the small size of Blu-Play games. For a jailbroken PS3 you can run the ISO from harddisk by mounting the ISO with webMAN or multiMAN from the BDISO folder. For Xbox One you can burn the ISO onto a DVD, which means you need a DVD burner. (If you have a Blu-ray burner, BD-R and BD-RE naturally works too). You can also play the ISO from harddisk on your PC if you have a software media-player that supports BD-J. More about this in FAQ. Setup If you wish to use the online highscore-system in the game, make sure your console's Blu-ray settings allows for the disc to go online. On the PS3 this setting is in Video Settings -> "BD - Internet connection" On the XB1 it's in Blu-ray settings -> "Enable BD Live to improve Blu-ray playback" Before starting a game, you may also want to redefine controls in the game settings, and enter your nickname for the highscores. Preview video FAQ Q: Which platforms will this run on? A: You should always expect Blu-Play games to only run on the gaming consoles that comes with a built-in Blu-ray player. These are the consoles Blu-Play is all about. However, Blu-Play games should theoretically also run on any other Blu-ray player. (Just don't expect any stunning framerates everyhere). Some examples: - Windows: Get your hands on a software media player that supports BD-J, like e.g. PowerDVD from Cyberlink. Play ISO from harddisk. Tested and works fine with a good frame (depending on your CPU of course). - Mac: Same deal. Find a software media player that supports BD-J. There's "MacGo Blu-ray Player", but I haven't tested that one. - Linux: VLC is getting BD-J support implemented these days. You may be able to run Ukko's Journey on one of the nightly builds, Just don't expect all features of the game to run - if it runs at all. (Keep in mind there's no official release of "VLC with BD-J support" yet). - Samsung Blu-ray players: It seems that Samsung players more frequently accepts Blu-ray content on a DVD than other brands, so you may be able to run Blu-Play games from a DVD on these players. - Other Blu-ray players: Burn the ISO onto a BD-R or BD-RE. - Other options: Dune HD Smart D1 / Popcorn Hour C200 / Popcorn Hour C300 lets you play the ISO from harddisk. Q: The graphics in the game looks very pixelated. Does this represent a Blu-Play limitation? A: Not at all. "Ukko's Journey" was merely ported from a platform with a resolution of only 240x320 pixels. We made HD versions of the fonts and the backgrounds and the foregrounds, but we had to limit the amount of time spent on this project, due to a combination of having a ton of other things on our ToDo list, while not knowing if anyone will take any interest in this Blu-Play idea at all. So we decided to not spend additional time improving the level-graphics yet. Q: When I try to upload/download highscores, it just says "No data found"! A: You have probably accidentally entered a highscore ID in Settings. Go back and type "0" for ID. (Never mind the Password field). The highscore settings allows a group of people to compete with each other on their own personal (hidden) highscore list, but you need a highscore-list ID and a password (from me) to be able to use that feature. Q: Under "Send to phone" it says "JavaME enabled phones only". What's that? A: JavaME enabled phones was what everyone was using before the arrival of Android phones and iPhones. Almost all phones ran JavaME back then, because it was either embedded into the firmware, or in the OS. If a stock phone couldn't run JavaME, you could always find an app that would let you run it. again regardless of what OS you were using. Nowadays this is still true for Android. You can simply install phoneME. However, since the MIDlets on this disc were all created for small resolutions, they aren't very useful on the big Android displays. Q: Do I have to burn the ISO onto a BD-R, or can I use a DVD? A: You can burn a Blu-ray ISO file onto a DVD, but sadly it won't play everywhere. Xbox One owners are in luck here. PlayStation owners are not. Testing standard Blu-ray players reveals that about 30%-40% of the players accepts Blu-ray content on a DVD, mostly Samsung players. Q: What exactly is Blu-Play? A: The Blu-Play label is an attempt of fixing a few widely accepted misconceptions about Blu-ray Disc Java (BD-J), by giving "BD-J homebrew games" a new and "fresh" label. One that sounds a lot better, emphasises that focus is on the gaming-consoles, is much more easily found when searching online, and isn't associated with all the false rumours about the limitations of BD-J. By demonstrating a lot of the functionality here that many people has claimed to be impossible, I'm hoping to breathe new life into BD-J development for the game-consoles. Read more about Blu-Play here. Q: I wanna buy a disc with this! A: There's a BUY link at blu-play.com. Note: I will not be making any money on this. The price on the disc is the fee EditHouse is charging.
  15. Similar to the last tutorial posted.... This tutorial will teach you how to fix one of the most common issues with the BD drive on the PS4 not injecting or ejecting discs... As usual, there is a video below for those who would like to watch and listen, and a write up underneath for those who cannot watch or simply do not want to. So this is for you people who don't know how to fix one of the most common issues when the ps4 will not inject/eject discs. so lets start Firstly you need to get to the inside of the system. so turn PS4 upside down, and remove the 3 security screws at the back of the system, holding the bottom cover plate on. (for fat ps4) Once removed, it should be easy to remove the cover by lifting back up first and then pull it off the front After this there are many screws on the boarder of the chassy, remove all security screws you see on the chassy, then there are 2 philips head screws at the back in the power supple, remove them too. Gently pull out power supply by lifting the right oriented side if you have the back of the ps4 facing you, then lift it gently up while left side may come loose a bit, then put the right side down and lift the left until it comes off prongs, be careful not to break the cable coming out of the power suply, you can easily just remove this during the replacement of the drive Next you want to make sure there are no more screws holding the bluray drive in place, there is 1 normal philips head screw at the top which holds it in place, (top being front) just remove that one and then remove the ribbon cable and power cable which are connecting to the drive from the mainboard. the drive should now come out with a bit of encouragement. Now turn the drive upside down so you can see the mecchanism which injhects and ejects the discs... what you have to do is remove the 3 screws holding it onto the bottom of the drive, and then there is a tab in place where there is no screw present where you need to gently lift the back plate off and pull it out of there... Inside the drive you will see 2 blue rollers next to there the disc goes in, there should be a white piece in the middle of them joining together. If there is not then you will have to look around the drive as it has most likely fallen out. Once found you must lodge it back in between the two rollers (be patient, this may take some time on first try) Once done just reverse the disassembly process and give it a try. WARNING! This may not fix all issues especially if your daughterboard is damaged. if you would like any help to see if it might help please post image of your daughterboard and what is going wrong with the ps4 in comments down bellow and i will make a judgement on it and tell you what i think you should do. i am also not responsible if you purchase a replacement drive and it does not work for whatever reason. i will help you diagnose the issue but if you do not take necessary precautions to make sure you need a new drive it is your fault. also be careful of sellers on ebay, some might not be very good. Good luck guys
  16. Hi Guys. Back again with another tutorial. YES, you will need to purchase a new Bluray drive for this tutorial If you guys have every had any issues with the Bluray drive and you don't know what to do anymore, you may have tried various different things, or you just don't trust yourself with any other methods. This is about the simplest method you can find to fix most issues that can arrise around the Bluray drive. There is a video below which shows you how to change the BD drive, otherwise there's a bit of a written tut under the video. Let me know if you need anymore help. Good luck Ok so if you can't listen or watch the video for whatever reason, here is the write-up. Firstly you need to get to the inside of the system. so turn PS4 upside down, and remove the 3 security screws at the back of the system, holding the bottom cover plate on. (for fat ps4) once removed, it should be easy to remove the cover by lifting back up first and then pull it off the front After this there are many screws on the boarder of the chassy, remove all security screws you see on the chassy, then there are 2 philips head screws at the back in the power supple, remove them too. gently pull out power supply by lifting the right oriented side if you have the back of the ps4 facing you, then lift it gently up while left side may come loose a bit, then put the right side down and lift the left until it comes off prongs, be careful not to break the cabel coming out of the power suply, you can easily just remove this during the replacement of the drive next you want to make sure there are no more screws holding the bluray drive in place, there is 1 normal philips head screw at the top which holds it in place, (top being front) just remove that one and then remove the ribbon cable and power cable which are connecting to the drive from the mainboard. the drive should now come out with a bit of encouragement. simply drop your new drive in and remove the daughter board from your old ps4 and replace the one on the new drive if it came with one, otherwise hook it up to the new drive, there are a few screws holding it in place. once the old daughter board it hooked up to the old drive, hook it back up to the mainboard and reverse the teardown process ensuring you keep the new drive and mainboard int the system. turn on the ps4 and you should be golden.
  17. So over the last few days, hints have been dropped all over the scene. There's a video below for those of you who prefer to listen, otherwise if you would like to read then just check under the video and there's a whole write up. Recent updates are showing that qwertyuiop and cturt may have something more than we have expected. cturt has started off by posting tweets showing himself updating to ofw 4.06 from his beloved 1.76 This also goes along with other tweets by qwertyuiop hinting at a 0day exploit kernalside as seen bellow At this point in time we can only assume they are sitting on top of something huge but until the exploit is finished and publicly released, might take some time.. I am personally excited to see where they are going to go with this and what could come of it. What we know: The webkit exploit will currently grant us access up to firmware 4.07 while the kernal exploit is currently classified as 0day which means that the exploit is unknown to sony and therefore not patched in latest released firmware. The only issue with the kernal exploit is that there is no current public releases of a webkit exploit for the latest firmware which is required to utilize the kernal exploit. The good news about this is that webkit exploits are usually much easier to come across than kernal exploits and if a newer webkit exploit is discovered this could essentially target latest firmware systems and all systems will be exploitable until $ony engineers patch them. Let us know in the comments down below what you're most looking forward to when the ps4 is publicly hacked Sources: Twitter - CTurt Twitter - qwertyuiop Wololo
  18. Demonstrating Java homebrew on the PS3. Ukko's Journey was originally a cellphone game developed by LuBlu Entertainment in 2008-2009. (See www.ukkosjourney.com). In 2017 LuBlu Entertainment is porting the game to BD-J purely as a proof-of-concept project, demonstrating that homebrew for the PS3 + PS4 + Xbox One is possible with Java. Once this project is complete, the game should run on all 3 consoles - from the same disc! Here is a preview video showing the game running on a PS3.

  21. Ok guys the new psproxy allows 3.50 ps4s to bypass the 3.55 thanks to Red-eyeX32, within these files theres a ps4-updatelist.xml file that can be open with notepad and we will see the following code <?xml version="1.0" ?> <update_data_list> <region id="us"> <force_update> <system level0_system_version="03.508.000" level1_system_version="03.508.000"/> </force_update> <system_pup label="3.50" sdk_version="03.508.001" version="03.508.000"> <update_data update_type="full"> <image size="299649024">http://dus01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/image/2016_0405/sys_0aa1a7e346aaba18483a106f1a887a6f/PS4UPDATE.PUP?dest=us</image> </update_data> </system_pup> <recovery_pup type="default"> <system_pup label="3.50" sdk_version="03.508.001" version="03.508.000"/> <image size="878051840">http://dus01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/image/2016_0405/rec_1c41826537584a850e0b1cdad1dede36/PS4UPDATE.PUP?dest=us</image> </recovery_pup> </region> </update_data_list> The proxy only works with 3.50 because of this xml code thats being spoofed but can be extended to more then 1 update has long as you have direct image links to those updates or create a localserver and have all the ps4 updates. showed here http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps4/Ps4-updatelist.xml The main reason why 1.76 wont work is because the sony direct download link file was removed by sony, because its too old so eventually this 3.50 image size will also fail eventually. <image size="299649024">http://dus01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/image/2016_0405/sys_0aa1a7e346aaba18483a106f1a887a6f/PS4UPDATE.PUP?dest=us</image> So i used the 1.76 mega link from http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps4/1.760.000 made the download link to a direct link using http://www.autogeneratelink.com/# and created my own direct links so the new 1.76 xml file will look like this <?xml version="1.0" ?> <update_data_list> <region id="us"> <force_update> <system level0_system_version="01.760.000" level1_system_version="01.760.000"/> </force_update> <system_pup label="1.76" sdk_version="01.760.000" version="01.760.000"> <update_data update_type="full"> <image size="193701376">http://fr-02.ashx.autogeneratelink.com/?file=mega_90660398c4</image> </update_data> </system_pup> <recovery_pup type="default"> <system_pup label="1.76" sdk_version="01.760.000" version="01.760.000"/> <image size="771464192">http://fr-02.ashx.autogeneratelink.com/?file=mega_9b1b030a77</image> </recovery_pup> </region> </update_data_list> Question is does it work? I didnt test this 1.76 xml spoof cause i dont have one but i did modify my own 3.50 spoof using a different direct link other than the sony dus01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4 and it works nicely Another good question is can we spoof the ps4 into thinking it needs a update using this nice little program direct linking to a mega upload customized ps4 pup CFW of course probably getting a little ahead of myself but you know what i mean. Thx Red-eyeX32 for this nice xml spoof Test at your own risk!
