  1. Hey wonderful hax0rz Here's my tweet from earlier about it! So, I have been trying to convert The orange box to PSN pkg or xmb playable state (I want the whole game there as opposed to launching it with webman or anything) I am just wondering if anyone can provide me a definitive way to do so? I got blackscreen upon boot and errors initially when I ☆ check over the xmb Icon, stating sdk self version or something was 10.93000 or something and needed to be 00.00000 (i dont understand much about this stuff but i'm getting there lol) and I resigned them to nodrm and the eboot to which didnt work neither it said selfs where fine (unknown revision) but spu guid not found or something. I guess its hardcoded or somethig I just need to know if this is possible and how to do it if so? :) I dont mind technical stuff I am quite adaptive! :)
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48REQJobp7s DEMO VIDEO I don't think this is the best idea to load PS2 games on PS3, but at least it seems working nice on my BC console [CECHA01] To be honest, the best way to load PS2 games on PS3 would be loading it from PS3's internal HDD with webMAN, but this should be an alternative solution who doesn't have enough space in PS3's internal HDD because OPL supports external USB HDD [FAT32] as well as SMB [it's similar to Nethost on COBRA CFW] The latest build of OPL is 0.9.3 and it's available here https://bitbucket.org/ifcaro/open-ps2-loader/src And so far I found OPL 0.9.1 version is the best for net loading. [i tried 0.8 ,0.9.2 and 0.9.3 but 0.9.1 seems working the best on my PS3] I wish I could compile this on my own but my ps2 sdk environment seems messed up and I have hard time doing it via minGW. SWAPMAGIC is NOT required to run this unlike 3 years ago, because now we can use COBRA's PS2 ISO functionality and directly load OPL as ISO image. This is the OPL ISO that I built http://www.mediafire.com/download/c92enyqnsn27fft/OPL_091.iso whoever likes to try this on BC or Semi BC consoles, go ahead and give it a shot *NOTE OPL does not work on non-BC console, it does run, but it doesn't load games due to its limitation coming from ps2_netemu itself, the suspect cause is disabled I/O function. however, from what I heard, 3.55 w/ ps2_softemu can run this openloader just fine but so far swapmagic is needed unless you use COBRA CFW that requires DRM dongle for 3.55 or port your own 3.55 COBRA CFW which I'd likely be doing in near future for fun. The system setup for this test run 1. CECHA01 2. REBUG 4.70.1 REX / COBRA mode 3. PS2 Openloader 0.9.1 ISO image 4. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit / Shared folder named PS2SMB w/ GUEST account that has full control The configuration on OPL

Step 1: Download the package from here or here or for the Brewology link Step 2: Copy the <SEN Enabler v5.9.0 [CEX-DEX].pkg> to your usb of choice or to the package folder on the ps3 Step 3: Install the package from the install package files menu Step 4: Open the package from the xmb, it should be named <GT Academy 2013> Step 5: When the app is open if the update log file is presented then press otherwise when at the main menu, press --> then V to (SEN/PSN Options) to open the sen/options menu Step 6: press for "Enable/Disable SEN access" then once again to spoof to 4.76 (if you wish to spoof to different version the select it in the other menu for whatever option you wish to spoof to) (WARNING: DO NOT SPOOF TO 9.99 IF YOU WISH TO PLAY ONLINE, SPOOF TO 4.76 FOR ONLINE) Step 7: Wait for the process to complete, it may take a moment or two Step 8: Reboot the system Step 9: play online Step 10: have fun guys and stay tuned for more

Hi there everyone, I've been trying to improve psx playback on COBRA CFW.. aldostools, @sandungas @_NzV_, habib have been very helpful, however, none of us have enough experiences with psx games running on PS3. So I'm kindly asking everyone's opinion about this matter, because with current source I've been developing can only choose one emu for default psx playback for COBRA.. The original COBRA 7 had this patch in basic_plugin.sprx, but commented by default, I was not sure about the dev's intention, but I assumed it was better to keep things as close to the original method that PS3 uses. SprxPatch basic_plugins_patches[] = { //{ ps1emu_type_check_offset, NOP, &condition_true }, // Changes ps1_emu.self to ps1_netemu.self (DISABLED) { 0 } }; So if I enable this patch, following will happen when launching PSX games. as you can see, this will force load ps1_netemu for all psx rips unless you manually swap this via multiMAN or IRIS. COBRA fakes PS3's BD functions completely, as a result, it provides "FULL" disc-less experience, so when playing PSX games with COBRA core, all users are forced to use default emu [ps1_emu.self], UNLESS, you use mmCM or IRIS forks to choose emu. I've heard that some games do work better on PS1EMU, and some games only work on PS1_NETEMU. for ex) This X-MEN mutant academy game only works with ps1_netemu, which was designed for psx classic contents. So, I'd like to ask your opinion about enabling this patch for better PSX Emulation experiences.
