L01 parts.

Question

Just picked one up, first time owning this model, and it's missing the PSU to motherboard connector. Does anyone have one? I can't seem to find one on eBay.

Willing to pay for shipping and part etc

Do you have some old PC disc drive at home for savage ?... Some i opened had this kind of connectors inside (not exactly, but the pins separation i think was similar)

Maybe you find something that fits and if the connector is bigger you can reduce his size a bit (you can remove pins or make it smaller) with cutting knife and a chisel

I know... is too ghetto, but if you are lucky to find something that is close + some work with the chisel you can have a cable for free :)

Edit:

TV's uses this kind of connectors too... is not normal to have a TV at home for savage, but well, just in case :)

i know it's ghetto but you could also consider soldering the wires from the cable straight to the board?

I thought about that, but I picked this one up as a YLOD and I have to "frequently" take this one apart if I have problems.

the problem is then then most connectors are 4 or 5 pins, only the VER-001 board have this 3pin connector if i'm correct..

EDIT: forget about the VER-001 board comment....faillure of the brain. :bash_head:

Then this is quite weird Cause this is a DIA board, and the 3 pin connector is on both the PSU and mother board.

it's missing the PSU to motherboard connector.

this got me confused, so you actually mean the cable that connects the psu to mainboard?

i thought the connector on mainboard was missing....

I honestly have no clue.. You want me to take pictures? Everything looks like it's all there besides the cable

EDIT: yup surely it's a DIA-001

I can see in the one pic you took there's a ribbon cable for the separate USB board. That tells me it has a different model board, cause the L model has everything integrated in one board. Not separate boards. :)

Great news! A PS3 fan connector works perfectly.
