PS Vita running the TN-V eCFW at Firmware 3.15

Recommended Posts

Guys after the video on the launch of ARK on fw 3.15 psvita, also comes the video from THEZ showing the latest work of Developer Total Noob TN v 9.6.For more details read below

A few weeks ago a video was made public, which showed a PS Vita running the TN-V eCFW at the most recent PS Vita firmware, 3.15.

Said video was removed from the public after the respective owners were not happy with the publicly available video.

Since they’ve changed their minds, an authorized video was made public, which, once again, shows a PS Vita running firmware 3.15 and the TN-V eCFW.

To be able to run the TN-V eCFW at firmwares 3.1x one needs two things, a lesser important and a greater important exploit.

The lesser important exploit is a usermode exploit, basically a simple game exploit, which is necessary to use the greater important exploit, a kernel mode exploit.

Kernel mode exploits are independant of flaws in games, but depend on flaws in the firmware itself, and are therefore much rarer and scarce.

Our forum Developers acid_snake and qwikrazor87 have found such a kernel mode exploit, one that is still working up to firmware 3.15, which enables the usage of the TN-V eCFW at firmwares higher than 3.01.

This is of course not everthing that is necessary for running TN-V at 3.15 like it is possible at 3.01, but to simplify it, the explanation is enough.

Will this ever be released? And if this will be released, when? Are the 3.1x VHBL games able to boot TN-V, if this gets released?

Those are currently questions that are asked a lot, since having an eCFW at the most recent firmware is a lot better than just having the VHBL, which is still better than having nothing at all.

I can not answer the first two questions myself, but maybe qwikrazor87 and Acid_Snake are willing to answer these questions.
