The PS3 will be thirteen years old this November and the console hacking scene for it is still going strong, there is more fun in this console than it's younger brother the PS4, hacks have also evolved from the days we had to use a device to boot the hack, to installing a CFW and even then this was stuck to a certain firmware, if you were above 3.55 you were stuck without a hack, unless of course you bought a hardware downgrader, but that all changed with the release of PS3Xploit, where you could hack your PS3 on the highest firmware using the consoles web browser.

With new hacks we needed new guides and tutorials, here is a small selection by Mr_Xtrax505:

PS3Xploit

I'm a complete noob when it comes to modding/hacking any console, well M^H PERIOD and I need or rather am looking for help to do so with an older PS3. Kinda wanted to try my luck with a console that would not be to much of a waste if something does indeed go wrong

. As not sacrificing my PS4... Now that being said you should know I am no coder or anything even close to one so am hoping someone might point me in the right direction as where to maybe start this adventure. Any help or direction would and will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Sorry for the late reply, hacking any all PS3's is quite easy now, no need to do several different things or risk bricking your console.

Sadly this YouTuber has deleted his videos but you can view this one from the great MrMario2011.
