PS4 Firmware 4.50 will be released tomorrow.

Firmware 4.50 (codename: SASUKE) will be officialy released tomorrow. This means that everyone will be able to enjoy new features like the support of external HDD's and custom wallpapers.

 

 

External HDD:
As mentioned above firmware 4.50 will support external HDD's up to 8TB. It seams that USB 2.0 devices won't be supported.

PS VR improvements:
One major feature is the support of 3D BluRay discs, to watch them in stereoscopic 3D.

 

Voice Chat for Remote Play:
Added support for voice chat to Windows PC, Mac and Xperia smartphones.

Online with an app:
From now on you'll see if a user is online with his console or if a gamer is using the official apps.

Has anyone who updated to this FW experience this issue: http://www.polygon.com/2017/3/22/15022232/ps4-wi-fi-broken-firmware-4-50 ? Apparently WiFi says the password is screwed up regardless for some users.

no, not on 4.50 but I had the issue on younger fw's.

I have that issue. It makes no sense. It displays that error code every time I boot. But wifi works.
