GregoryRasputin 5,597 Posted December 22, 2015 I am sure by now that a lot of people know about Sony's Virtual Reality system called PlayStation VR, but what some might not know is that it uses a separate processing unit in order to get its full power, here are some images: Source 1 Source 2 5 StarMelter, eXtreme, OldBrain and 2 others reacted to this Quote Tip

Rautz 76 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) Does anyone know if the box just to generate a normal image on the tv or if it does that and also plays a part in helping the PS4 "powerup" to run the headset properly? I bet its in the sources I didnt read lol Edit. Spoiler tags not working?? Edited December 22, 2015 by Rautz
Lucif3r 2,457 Posted December 22, 2015 Its to power the VR, since the PS4 is no where near powerful enough to supply decent framerate for VR all by itself, unless you crap down the resolution etc to PS1 standards....
LostDeathKnight 161 Posted December 23, 2015 More boxes more wires, it's everything i ever wanted
Rautz 76 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Damn probably means itll cost more than a PS4 then. Wires are easy to deal with... I'm used to an over abundance of cords since the 80s lol. The pricepoint is what makes or breaks it for me. Yeah hype is deflated for the VR now. Edited December 23, 2015 by Rautz
