[PRX Development ?] XMB entry

Recommended Posts

Ok, this time i need your help, because i have a really BAD memory, so

i want to write a XMB submenu (something like this http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1168/1441558836_209604d29c_o.jpg) and if i'm not wrong, i should write it as PRX.

What i want to know is, how do i write a PRX? is there some documentation / examples i can use?

i would love also to know if i can use the VSH Notification system (this might be a question for mysis xD).

You compile it with the SDK.

Hello Deroad, i'm not sure i understand what you are exactly asking but i think that looking around vsh prx loader and other plugins such as web_server.sprx, ftp_server.prx or remot_pp.sprx could give you an idea about how to write what you have in mind.

You can call this kind of dialogue from an elf but if you want to call a menu from XMB you need to write a PRX.

To do the menu look at this POC :

and to do VSH notification it's quite simple. Every functiun are listed here : http://www.ps3devwiki.com/ps3/VSH

Load it with another prx, to get the return value over debug.

0x80011148(CELL_PRX_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_PRX_TYPE)

As far as I remember, user have try out many things but get never a working prx with psl1ght.

here the same, no prx with psl1ght (v1/v2)

for the record, on linux had to use gcc linker over sn one to link succesfully

we can try to recompile from source, if any
