  2. [Tutorial] Custom PSN ball logo

Thought i would just drop this here i know it's a bit outdated but the method is still the same Cange PSN Logo Method 1 (less complex) Here is a Video Tutorial and a Written Tutorial will be underneath the Video: Step 1: Download the PSN ICONS for 4.46.zip file here. Step 2: Extract the .pkg file from inside the zip, and copy it to your USB. Step 3: Safely eject your USB. Step 4: Plug it in to your PS3. Step 5: Install the package. Step 6: Open the "MOD PSN ICONS INSTALLER 4.46" from the XMB. Step 7: Choose whichever icon you want. Step 8 Do a HARD Reboot of the system. Step 9: Enjoy the new PSN Logo Method 2 (more complex and less simplified)[works on all cfw] Step 1: Open Rebug Toolbox. Step 2: Download my Icon package from here Step 3: Open Filezilla on your pc. Step 4: connect to your ps3. Step 5: Open my package. Step 6: Chose the psita OR Rebug icons depending on which firmware you are on. Step 7: Navigate to /dev_Rebug/vsh/resource/. Step 8: Backup the file on the ps3 called xmb_plugin_normal.rco to a folder where you wont lose it. Step 9: Replace the one on the playstation with the one you chose from my package and click OK to overwrite the file. Step 10: Go back to the rebug toolbox and select the reboot option. Step 11: Click HARD Reboot and the system will reboot. Step 12: Enjoy the new PSN Logo. hey just a question, does anyone know why the videos don't embed in this new version of the site? thanks
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48REQJobp7s DEMO VIDEO I don't think this is the best idea to load PS2 games on PS3, but at least it seems working nice on my BC console [CECHA01] To be honest, the best way to load PS2 games on PS3 would be loading it from PS3's internal HDD with webMAN, but this should be an alternative solution who doesn't have enough space in PS3's internal HDD because OPL supports external USB HDD [FAT32] as well as SMB [it's similar to Nethost on COBRA CFW] The latest build of OPL is 0.9.3 and it's available here https://bitbucket.org/ifcaro/open-ps2-loader/src And so far I found OPL 0.9.1 version is the best for net loading. [i tried 0.8 ,0.9.2 and 0.9.3 but 0.9.1 seems working the best on my PS3] I wish I could compile this on my own but my ps2 sdk environment seems messed up and I have hard time doing it via minGW. SWAPMAGIC is NOT required to run this unlike 3 years ago, because now we can use COBRA's PS2 ISO functionality and directly load OPL as ISO image. This is the OPL ISO that I built http://www.mediafire.com/download/c92enyqnsn27fft/OPL_091.iso whoever likes to try this on BC or Semi BC consoles, go ahead and give it a shot *NOTE OPL does not work on non-BC console, it does run, but it doesn't load games due to its limitation coming from ps2_netemu itself, the suspect cause is disabled I/O function. however, from what I heard, 3.55 w/ ps2_softemu can run this openloader just fine but so far swapmagic is needed unless you use COBRA CFW that requires DRM dongle for 3.55 or port your own 3.55 COBRA CFW which I'd likely be doing in near future for fun. The system setup for this test run 1. CECHA01 2. REBUG 4.70.1 REX / COBRA mode 3. PS2 Openloader 0.9.1 ISO image 4. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit / Shared folder named PS2SMB w/ GUEST account that has full control The configuration on OPL
  4. Hey guys, I'm trying to get otheros++ back up and running, but when my ps3's hdd crashed, I lost all the needed tools. All the otheros++ stuff has been removed from their website and gitbrew.org is offline. I haven't installed otheros++ in many years, but I'd like to get it up and running, so, anyone got copies of the needed tools? Otheros++ prep tool by rebug, Boot otheros++ by rebug, and setup_flash_for_otheros.pkg, dtbImage.ps3.bin, install_otheros.pkg, reboot.pkg, create_hdd_region.sh, hdd_access.sh that used to be up on gitbrew would be awesome... thanks!
