  1. "Ukko's Journey" released; the very first "Blu-Play" homebrew game for PS3, PS4 and XB1! Intro "Ukko's Journey" was originally developed as a cellphone game back in 2008-2009 by LuBlu Entertainment. Now here in 2017 the same team has ported the game to Blu-Play, proof-of-concept demonstration to show an example of a what you can do with Blu-Play. Blu-Play games are "small-scale homebrew games coded with Blu-ray Disc Java (BD-J), and which therefore runs on any game-console that comes with a built-in Blu-ray player", which at present time includes PS3, PS4 and XB1. In other words, you don't need a special version of a Blu-Play title in order to run it on your console. One disc runs on all. More about Blu-Play here. Demonstrated Blu-Play elements - Performance: The game plays with 50+ fps - Audio: Plays ingame music + sound-effects - Persistent storage: Remembers your settings between disc ejects - Controls: 11 buttons on the gamepad useable - Internet: Uploads/downloads highscores to/from UkkosJourney.com - Network: Sends the cellphone version of the game to your Wi-Fi connected JavaME enabled phone via your local network Download Ukko's Journey is 100% free. Download UkkosJourney-BluPlay.ISO here [83 mb] How can I get to play this? For a stock PS3 / PS4 you need to burn the ISO onto a BD-R or BD-RE disc, which means you need a Blu-ray burner. Luckily Blu-ray burners has become very affordable now, and a BD-R disc only costs about half a euro. If you buy a BD-RE, it can be re-used several thousand times due to the small size of Blu-Play games. For a jailbroken PS3 you can run the ISO from harddisk by mounting the ISO with webMAN or multiMAN from the BDISO folder. For Xbox One you can burn the ISO onto a DVD, which means you need a DVD burner. (If you have a Blu-ray burner, BD-R and BD-RE naturally works too). You can also play the ISO from harddisk on your PC if you have a software media-player that supports BD-J. More about this in FAQ. Setup If you wish to use the online highscore-system in the game, make sure your console's Blu-ray settings allows for the disc to go online. On the PS3 this setting is in Video Settings -> "BD - Internet connection" On the XB1 it's in Blu-ray settings -> "Enable BD Live to improve Blu-ray playback" Before starting a game, you may also want to redefine controls in the game settings, and enter your nickname for the highscores. Preview video FAQ Q: Which platforms will this run on? A: You should always expect Blu-Play games to only run on the gaming consoles that comes with a built-in Blu-ray player. These are the consoles Blu-Play is all about. However, Blu-Play games should theoretically also run on any other Blu-ray player. (Just don't expect any stunning framerates everyhere). Some examples: - Windows: Get your hands on a software media player that supports BD-J, like e.g. PowerDVD from Cyberlink. Play ISO from harddisk. Tested and works fine with a good frame (depending on your CPU of course). - Mac: Same deal. Find a software media player that supports BD-J. There's "MacGo Blu-ray Player", but I haven't tested that one. - Linux: VLC is getting BD-J support implemented these days. You may be able to run Ukko's Journey on one of the nightly builds, Just don't expect all features of the game to run - if it runs at all. (Keep in mind there's no official release of "VLC with BD-J support" yet). - Samsung Blu-ray players: It seems that Samsung players more frequently accepts Blu-ray content on a DVD than other brands, so you may be able to run Blu-Play games from a DVD on these players. - Other Blu-ray players: Burn the ISO onto a BD-R or BD-RE. - Other options: Dune HD Smart D1 / Popcorn Hour C200 / Popcorn Hour C300 lets you play the ISO from harddisk. Q: The graphics in the game looks very pixelated. Does this represent a Blu-Play limitation? A: Not at all. "Ukko's Journey" was merely ported from a platform with a resolution of only 240x320 pixels. We made HD versions of the fonts and the backgrounds and the foregrounds, but we had to limit the amount of time spent on this project, due to a combination of having a ton of other things on our ToDo list, while not knowing if anyone will take any interest in this Blu-Play idea at all. So we decided to not spend additional time improving the level-graphics yet. Q: When I try to upload/download highscores, it just says "No data found"! A: You have probably accidentally entered a highscore ID in Settings. Go back and type "0" for ID. (Never mind the Password field). The highscore settings allows a group of people to compete with each other on their own personal (hidden) highscore list, but you need a highscore-list ID and a password (from me) to be able to use that feature. Q: Under "Send to phone" it says "JavaME enabled phones only". What's that? A: JavaME enabled phones was what everyone was using before the arrival of Android phones and iPhones. Almost all phones ran JavaME back then, because it was either embedded into the firmware, or in the OS. If a stock phone couldn't run JavaME, you could always find an app that would let you run it. again regardless of what OS you were using. Nowadays this is still true for Android. You can simply install phoneME. However, since the MIDlets on this disc were all created for small resolutions, they aren't very useful on the big Android displays. Q: Do I have to burn the ISO onto a BD-R, or can I use a DVD? A: You can burn a Blu-ray ISO file onto a DVD, but sadly it won't play everywhere. Xbox One owners are in luck here. PlayStation owners are not. Testing standard Blu-ray players reveals that about 30%-40% of the players accepts Blu-ray content on a DVD, mostly Samsung players. Q: What exactly is Blu-Play? A: The Blu-Play label is an attempt of fixing a few widely accepted misconceptions about Blu-ray Disc Java (BD-J), by giving "BD-J homebrew games" a new and "fresh" label. One that sounds a lot better, emphasises that focus is on the gaming-consoles, is much more easily found when searching online, and isn't associated with all the false rumours about the limitations of BD-J. By demonstrating a lot of the functionality here that many people has claimed to be impossible, I'm hoping to breathe new life into BD-J development for the game-consoles. Read more about Blu-Play here. Q: I wanna buy a disc with this! A: There's a BUY link at blu-play.com. Note: I will not be making any money on this. The price on the disc is the fee EditHouse is charging.
  2. Demonstrating Java homebrew on the PS3. Ukko's Journey was originally a cellphone game developed by LuBlu Entertainment in 2008-2009. (See www.ukkosjourney.com). In 2017 LuBlu Entertainment is porting the game to BD-J purely as a proof-of-concept project, demonstrating that homebrew for the PS3 + PS4 + Xbox One is possible with Java. Once this project is complete, the game should run on all 3 consoles - from the same disc! Here is a preview video showing the game running on a PS3.
  3. Re-Release: PS3.Proxy.Server.GUI By CF3B5 Right, so Guys I recently made a thread on another forum RE-RELEASING an old tool (pretty ancient tool actually) was designed for the Wii, the PSP, and the PS3 It's a proxy. I managed to gather all of the files including the Extended Edition, and both of the .NET frameworks And it works on PS4on 3.55, right now. at this very moment. I don't know how helpful this is with the skfu proxy tool out and floating about. but i'm trying to be helpful by re-releasing what is probably one of the best tools out there And it still works. Everything is in one rar file because the installer doesn't do anything anymore. from what t i remember, it just tells you to go get a .NET framework which isn't on Microsoft's page anymore but included it and a batch file to download it and the updated one. I hope i'm not offending or pissing anyone off by doing this. it would be the last thing on my wish list. I also included the YetAnotherBypass (YAB) batches and executable though i'm lacking the src. Nice, huh? 4. Hi everyone, making a new thread for it as a clean (re)start. So here we got a major improvement in point of compatibility to gameplay recording. * PS3 Games * PSP Games/Minis * PS1 Games * PlayView Some might encounter audio stuttering, you could try to workaround them by switching from high to good quality. While recording Ingame XMB gets switched to some older version, as if you were holding ps-button a little bit longer. The plugin will recognize this and stop recording, so no need to press R3 to stop this time - it will happen automatically as soon as it recognizes it popped up. For secureFileId, simply hold R1 as if you would want to get klicensee, it will enable the catcher and will retrieve the id once an savegame is accessed. Catcher will automatically disabled afterwards. You will find all information (File + secureFileId) in log file. Also, sorry no sources this time. Have fun ! I need to have a smaller ARK bubble and found some psp demo pkg's to install but its forcing me to sign in to psn. Anyone have any idea on how i could bypass the sign in? Yes i know i should not have used my cfw PS3 with my real account.... I was playing FFXIV Realm Reborn at the time.
  6. Hi PS3 Scene Users, I know it is a long time past since my last release of PlayStation 3 NAND Flash Tool v2.0, this version can not handle all PS3 NAND dumps sorting algorithms and only some peoples like Judges, BlaKCat, Sonic_BH and maybe others know the right algorithms but they do not share and do this as a paid services. So As i promised all lovely PS3 scene users, I'm glad to announce the release of my new PlayStation 3 Flash Tool v4.0 that implement all PS3 NAND sorting algorithms (by Me Abkarino) & RPS's ECC calculation algorithm (credit goes to RPS for the ECC calculation algorithm). This tool is a replacement for the famous FlowRebuilder tool for handling PS3 NAND dumps. What is special in my tool, since flowrebuilder could do the same process? The special thing in my tool that it can handle all NAND dump types even that one that Flowrebuilder can not unscramble and make unified dump out of them cause it have some bad blocks in some critical areas that affect FlowRebuilder sorting algorithm. In fact that the bad block does not affect sorting algorithm but Sony had changed the old sorting algorithm used in FlowRebuilder after releasing the new PS3 NAND model CECHG console, by implementing a hard and different sorting algorithms to this model so FlowRebuilder can not be used any more to downgrade this Model. I had finished this version long time ago but i did not released it for some personal reasons that i can not state right now I had done a hard work to finish this tool and discover how PS3 handle such NANDs No more bad block remapping process, No more paying for someone to remap and patch your dump, No more uploading your full RAW dumps that wast your time, bandwidth and of course your money also I'm not the only one that discovered this algorithm, there is some well known devs that do also, but they did not well to share any info/tool to handle this dumps, they do it only as a service. And here is my current build key features: Rewritten from scratch and switched from .NET application to pure QT C++ application for faster and better work .Windows 10 compatible.Auto patch PS3 RAW NAND dumps, to save your time and effort, no need to do manual process again .Unscramble PS3 RAW NAND dumps and make a readable unified dump out of them.Re-scramble a unified PS3 NAND dump and make Two RAW dumps out of it and update its ECC values to be ready for flashing.Extract unified NAND dumps files.Patch a unified NAND dump with integrated 3.55 CFW (FSM) or 4.70 CFW (NoFSM) patches. Also there is some features still in my to-do list that I'll add in feature release so stay tuned here Also I'm so sorry for this long delay before releasing my tool, since my real life and family take all my time also my full time job Finally i would to say thanks for all who supported me, and i want to give a big thanks to my lovely friends and brothers: @Rogero , @Kado, @the1wonder @3absiso, @NiceShot, and our Rebug Team members @evilsperm , @Habib , @Joonie (since i had joined the famous Rebug team also ), and all lovely members in PS3 Scene (You know who you are ). Feel free to report any issue that you may encounter while using my app. Also do not forget to support my by giving me THANKS for this hard job , and since this project take a lot of time and effort if you find it useful for you and helped you to downgrade problematic PS3 NAND console do not forget to donate to my to support me doing feature development for this tools and any other tools that we may need . 12. Hi all, I found this good news about a very nice project while i'm browsing some scene news site and i want to introduce this great tool for you here, this tool is a new cheating/hacking/real time patching tool like the famous CodeUnique, but the difference is this one is open source. Here is the words from the main developer (Dnawrkshp) behind this project: Download: PKG Source Code Source: PS4News
  13. I created a small prx that injected into the psp_emulator.self process of the playstation 3 is able to log access of the HLE functions. By this we can explore why some games black screen or have problems, even could improve the emu by adding unsupported features. Some games like sweet fuse are even possible to fix, when one presses the screenshot option ingame (circle) which happened to freeze the game completely because sony did not add that it is supposed to return an error on screenshot utility init. Here are some logs and pics, i am currently developing it on 4.46. And here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/mp6Gi http://imgur.com/a/Xhaso As you may see the emulator does not support accessing sectors mapped as file (sce_lbn). If anyone around knows or got an idea of how i would be able to implement it by using HLE functions themselves (i can also use IoCtl etc.) i would really appreciate it Release: (no eta yet)
  14. GetIDPS for Mac

Hey what's up everyone? Well I just want to share with you a tool that I created for personal use since I am a Mac user and do not want to use Windows on virtual machines anymore. It is a simple tool to get the IDPS from NOR backup files and outputs it into 2 files: idps.bin and idps.txt. The source code is available on GitHub for those who wanna check out and contribute. Thanks again TheDarkProgramer and Cfwprophet!!! Link: GetIDPS.zip
  15. HEARD FROM xDPx THAT xDPx IS LOOKING TO SELL 1,000 CONSOLE ID'S. OFF OF ALL YLOD PS3'S HE CURRENTLY HAS IN HIS POSSESSION. Help him out?? Not sure how much money he currently needs but it's for a DECH console. EDIT: IS NOT it's not 10k it's 1k can someone fix the title?
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48REQJobp7s DEMO VIDEO I don't think this is the best idea to load PS2 games on PS3, but at least it seems working nice on my BC console [CECHA01] To be honest, the best way to load PS2 games on PS3 would be loading it from PS3's internal HDD with webMAN, but this should be an alternative solution who doesn't have enough space in PS3's internal HDD because OPL supports external USB HDD [FAT32] as well as SMB [it's similar to Nethost on COBRA CFW] The latest build of OPL is 0.9.3 and it's available here https://bitbucket.org/ifcaro/open-ps2-loader/src And so far I found OPL 0.9.1 version is the best for net loading. [i tried 0.8 ,0.9.2 and 0.9.3 but 0.9.1 seems working the best on my PS3] I wish I could compile this on my own but my ps2 sdk environment seems messed up and I have hard time doing it via minGW. SWAPMAGIC is NOT required to run this unlike 3 years ago, because now we can use COBRA's PS2 ISO functionality and directly load OPL as ISO image. This is the OPL ISO that I built http://www.mediafire.com/download/c92enyqnsn27fft/OPL_091.iso whoever likes to try this on BC or Semi BC consoles, go ahead and give it a shot *NOTE OPL does not work on non-BC console, it does run, but it doesn't load games due to its limitation coming from ps2_netemu itself, the suspect cause is disabled I/O function. however, from what I heard, 3.55 w/ ps2_softemu can run this openloader just fine but so far swapmagic is needed unless you use COBRA CFW that requires DRM dongle for 3.55 or port your own 3.55 COBRA CFW which I'd likely be doing in near future for fun. The system setup for this test run 1. CECHA01 2. REBUG 4.70.1 REX / COBRA mode 3. PS2 Openloader 0.9.1 ISO image 4. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit / Shared folder named PS2SMB w/ GUEST account that has full control The configuration on OPL
  17. Hey guys can anyone tell me a proxy app that works on linux that do the same things as PSX Downloader Help or SKFU's Proxy??? Thanks!!!
  18. hello folks! i have a cech 2004b over here, i dumped the nor-flash 4times(with e3flasher),but when i check i always get this error... the ps3 was on OFW4.70 i've done over 60downgrades,but never had this problem... someone knows if safe to patch & flash back? i can also send you the dump to validate ( only to well known members like mrdutch,greg,lucifr,joonie...) many thnx! see photo
  19. Some stupid questions

Well if someone knew how to program in powerpc assembly on the cell architecture of PS3 could it have led to something useful? Also can we make our own OS for the ps3 or install something that is closer to the architecture e.g amigaos?
  20. Hello! I started this because I went looking around my (Still not done yes it's been 3 hrs) extracted backup, and I noticed some very weird things. And no, not like "I have found an exploit" but more like WEIRD. Unusual. Things you would not expect on a ps3 hard drive. Like, at all. Anyways, here are my current weird files. 1. An actual PASSPORT. Like, traveling to another country passport. It seems to be for age confirmation, and has different variations with red boxes, which i assume are for OCR.
  21. PS3 Model: CECH-2001A So I've been using Rogero's CFW for a while and since he's stop working on it I'd like to know what's next. I see a lot about "Darknet" CFW going around any thoughts?
