InFamous: First Light - Glitch Under Map

    By DANNY G,

    [PS2] Repairing my PS2

    By Xhase,
Model: SCPH-30001 So in my last thread I mentioned that my sister have me an old fat PS2 that she got from a yard sale (the people claimed it didn't work) so I plugged it in and went ahead with testing the unit. The put in burnout "1"(original copy) and it seemed to run fine, till driving very fast the game would glitch and stop and the continue. And 1-3 seconds after the same thing. So I took it apart and decided to have a look at what could be the problem. First I cleaned the laser in the drive, and it didn't fix the problem, so I took the rest apart down to the mother board. Then I noticed chips similar to what the PS3 has.. The CPU, syscon, GPU etc. , all that was on them a freaking thermal pad..so I put a little thermal paste (very light coat) on the chips and applied pressure when screwing the screws back together. And so I finally got it back together and it's running all the games I've put in it no problem. So after fixing this system, I was pretty excited since I've never disassembled one used, or owned a PS2 Plans are to run Homebrew. Via Free MCboot. Sooooooo yeahhh (Durring the writing of this post)the gf LOL

Use older ps2 emu self on newer firmwares.

Hey everybody, first post here! So I was wondering now that Cobra is open source, could we be able to resign and use older revisions of the ~emu.self files on newer firmwares? You'll ask, "why the hell would you want to do it?" Well it seems that the self file used on the first Cobra CFWs that allowed PS2 emulation on non backwards compatible hardware allowed emulation of the USB and it was working perfectly. I'm sure the function is still there on the current ps2_netemu.self file but it's disabled (profiles of USB peripheral games are present but left unused) and I want to find a way to re-enable it. Any help would be appreciated.

GTA V gets more radio tracks this fall

Nothing more to say, the PS4/Xbone version of GTA V that comes out this fall, gets some additional radio tracks and maybe radio stations too? I really hope they improve them and make them similarly well as in the good ol' PS2 GTA games. Source: https://twitter.com/Caradelevingne/status/505474515988922369
