  1. Hi guys thought it had been a while since i posted a tut so here it is Essentially this video will tell you how to get NTR working on the latest firmware for 3DS as the original does not seem to be getting anymore love or support anymore. So this is basically a fork of the NTR CFW but this fork is not only more refined, it also allows you to select which version of NTR you want to boot into and boots in legit a tenth of the time the original booted when it was working. tool it called NTR Selector. can be found in links down below. Please see video for guide on how to install, or if you can't watch youtube where you are there will be a quick written tutorial at the bottom Thanks for watching guys. hope you enjoy the video and the final product of this mod/CFW LINK: - GBA Temp Thread - GitHub Written tut: Step 1: make sure 3DS is on CFW Step 2: make sure you have FBI Installed or a CIA installer of choice. this tut will use FBI Step 3a: open this site to scan QR code for download, OR Step 3b: alternatively open this link for a download of the latest cia file so you can copy to sd card Step 4: if you are going to use the QR code to scan and download direct to ds with FBI please skip to step <8> Step 5: if you are manually downloading then make sure you copy the cia to your sd card Step 6: put sd card in 3ds and open cia installer. Step 7: Navigate to where you placed the cia file and install with cia installer Step 8: (skip if you manually installed) Scan the QR code to download the file and install it directly to 3ds Step 9: go to home menu and open up the newly installed software Step 10: wait for it to run through its updates and download and setup its environment. Step 11: choose your cfw you would like to use Step 12: Profit?

  4. Hello everyone, I've been running my NOR PS3 (which I barely used it) on a Custom Firmware (latest Rebug Rex) with Dual Boot (thanks to @Joonie tutorial) for a while (about 6 months) and has always worked fine and never had any trouble with. A few months ago I updated the PS3's Firmware to the latest Rebug Rex update when it came out around September and I had to re-do the Dual Boot process again. Done, everything went great and It continued to work as before with no problems. A few weeks later I decided to Install ReActPSN (the latest version) to activate some DLC map that I downloaded for BFBC2. I never used it before (ReActPSN), but It worked I guess since I didn't get any error from the game playing that certain map. Around 3 days later I had the PS3 on (the Internet was enabled but not logged-in PSN) twice but never got to play since I was watching sports. The next day I turn it on to play, while in-game receiving the PSN message to connect online I immediately get a random error message with the 800XXXXX code followed by the black screen with the <Suggested Actions> message. Attempting to exit the game to find out what's going on, the screen goes black and I had to restart the console. After turning it on back it wouldn't boot neither show the HDD lights activity on the PS3. I tried going to safe mode but I couldn't (It wouldn't let me). I switched the CFW HDD, replaced it with the OFW HDD and it booted just fine so I decided to switch back to the CFW HDD. No luck, still wouldn't boot up and out of 20 times that I tried going to safe mode It worked at least 4 times and whenever I picked one of the few options (# 3 and 4) it turned off with red light blinking. Now, whenever It didn't turn off and booted straight to the XMB menu it always asked me If I wanted to use the HDMI or no. Choosing yes or no always gave me a very dark black screen with no video signal or HDD activity. So what's next? I opened the PS3 and decided to check if the E3 Flasher clip wasn't seating right or if there were any bad solder joints and broken cable. Everything was perfect, put new thermal paste back and the problem still remains the same. I have a good dump backup just incase It is the only option to fix it (if that's possible), but I decided to come here first before attempting to do that. By the way, no matter how many times I change the thermal paste, the temperature while on idle always around 78-81 and the graphics temperature below 45. I don't know if this has anything to do with changing the factory fan (15 blade) with a 19 blade fan. Well, after doing some searching around here I found something a bit similar (from a user here) to what has happened to me which let's me believe that It could have been ReActPSN that bricked it/damaged something; TL;DR: CFW Dual Boot PS3 boots with OFW HDD, but does not with the CFW HDD. And please note that even If I remove the CFW HDD It still won't boot into safe mode unless I put the E3 on OFW mode.
  5. Step 1: Download the package from here or here or for the Brewology link Step 2: Copy the <SEN Enabler v5.9.0 [CEX-DEX].pkg> to your usb of choice or to the package folder on the ps3 Step 3: Install the package from the install package files menu Step 4: Open the package from the xmb, it should be named <GT Academy 2013> Step 5: When the app is open if the update log file is presented then press otherwise when at the main menu, press --> then V to (SEN/PSN Options) to open the sen/options menu Step 6: press for "Enable/Disable SEN access" then once again to spoof to 4.76 (if you wish to spoof to different version the select it in the other menu for whatever option you wish to spoof to) (WARNING: DO NOT SPOOF TO 9.99 IF YOU WISH TO PLAY ONLINE, SPOOF TO 4.76 FOR ONLINE) Step 7: Wait for the process to complete, it may take a moment or two Step 8: Reboot the system Step 9: play online Step 10: have fun guys and stay tuned for more
  6. So I'm trying to get back into the PS3 scene and as some of you can probably tell its been a while. I'm concerned and hoping to find out if someone knows what happened to Rogero/CFW? It was the last CFW I used very stable and never had an issues with it. His site is down and development has ceased. If anyone can provide some information it would be appreciated. If not its completely fine I just ask of this; I would just like to know what CFW is everyone is using now? Preferably something stable working. I don't care about logging into PSN. I just want to be up-to-date to CFW standards (whatever that may be). My hardware: PS3 Model: CECH-2001A (I can always revert back to 3.55 OFW)
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48REQJobp7s DEMO VIDEO I don't think this is the best idea to load PS2 games on PS3, but at least it seems working nice on my BC console [CECHA01] To be honest, the best way to load PS2 games on PS3 would be loading it from PS3's internal HDD with webMAN, but this should be an alternative solution who doesn't have enough space in PS3's internal HDD because OPL supports external USB HDD [FAT32] as well as SMB [it's similar to Nethost on COBRA CFW] The latest build of OPL is 0.9.3 and it's available here https://bitbucket.org/ifcaro/open-ps2-loader/src And so far I found OPL 0.9.1 version is the best for net loading. [i tried 0.8 ,0.9.2 and 0.9.3 but 0.9.1 seems working the best on my PS3] I wish I could compile this on my own but my ps2 sdk environment seems messed up and I have hard time doing it via minGW. SWAPMAGIC is NOT required to run this unlike 3 years ago, because now we can use COBRA's PS2 ISO functionality and directly load OPL as ISO image. This is the OPL ISO that I built http://www.mediafire.com/download/c92enyqnsn27fft/OPL_091.iso whoever likes to try this on BC or Semi BC consoles, go ahead and give it a shot *NOTE OPL does not work on non-BC console, it does run, but it doesn't load games due to its limitation coming from ps2_netemu itself, the suspect cause is disabled I/O function. however, from what I heard, 3.55 w/ ps2_softemu can run this openloader just fine but so far swapmagic is needed unless you use COBRA CFW that requires DRM dongle for 3.55 or port your own 3.55 COBRA CFW which I'd likely be doing in near future for fun. The system setup for this test run 1. CECHA01 2. REBUG 4.70.1 REX / COBRA mode 3. PS2 Openloader 0.9.1 ISO image 4. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit / Shared folder named PS2SMB w/ GUEST account that has full control The configuration on OPL
  8. [sOLD] Please accept my apologies if I got anyons hopes up, I am very sorry. This was not intended whatsoever. Greetings! Back in the 3.55 era, my friend had found an unlockable PS3 for his son which I was able to unlock and put a CFW on the system. His son is older now and my friend is no longer interested in his unlocked PS3, so he was looking to sell it. Was wondering if there is a topic in this forum or another website that I can go to (sigh) basically advertise this information to and to see if anyone would be interested. Now, I am not sure how much it is worth unlocked with CFW, so I decided to ask here in the Off-topic forum. Mods, if this post/thread needs to be moved, by all means please do so. I know to me an unlocked PS3 is priceless (hell if I had extra $$ I'd buy it from him as a backup replacement.) TL;DR Does anyone have an idea where to go, or would anyone be interested in such an item? Thanks for any advice in advance, it's much appreciated! P.S. If this is not an appropriate place to be asking this, please let me know this as well and I will cease any and all inquiries. I'm not here to piss people off. I am aware that I am a new member and can not be trusted, but I have been around since the 3.41 exploit (with a TI-81 calculator or a modified MP3 player, those were the fun days!) and I have no mal-intentions. He is just looking for some extra cash because he has run across some hard times (like we all do). Thanks again!

  10. PS3 Model: CECH-2001A So I've been using Rogero's CFW for a while and since he's stop working on it I'd like to know what's next. I see a lot about "Darknet" CFW going around any thoughts?
