  1. Current adminpanel settings "Can lock topics/questions?" : - Moderators - Developer - News Editor - Super Moderators - Administrators edit: fixed now, @GregoryRasputin
  2. actually, the edit was to include "Thanks for the tip Gamesonic"
  3. I have SSDs that need more than the 11W of that solder pencil... just saying...
  4. remove the rubber at the eject buton - as it expands, it magically ejects discs without the user (alternatively, replace/move RFI devices)

  6. Upgrades to consider for your HP Envy TouchSmart 15t-j100 Quad Edition 32GB DDR3L 1600 : http://ark.intel.com/nl/products/75117/Intel-Core-i7-4700MQ-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz (Intel HD Graphics 4600 reserves max 1.7 GB) Now to the SSD, that will be a more problematic one, your model comes in several configurations, with HDD (1TB) and SSD (8-64GB) or with a SSHD native. There is nothing wrong with the current SSD warranty - Samsung goes up to 10 years. Safe to say the Samsung Pro SSD will outlast any harddrive... If you want to reduce the costs, pick one with 5 years warranty of the EVO series. 850 PRO / 850 EVO Don't get to cheap and bug out on the smallest storage, as they have slower speed... Too bad your system does not feature M.2, or second storage...
  7. Hardware support in lv0ldr, lv0, syscon http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Lv0#Hardware_Support http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/SC_EEPROM#EEPROM_Offset_Table_-_Flags_and_Tokens e.g. the CECH-2004A slim consoles (with metldr "BC78B8F02879A81184A0DA74" / lv0ldr "41F793C709418F938944BA7A" have a minver of 2.70 because of CellBE and Southbridge HW minimal requirements (though they do not have a hardcoded version lockout in asecure_loader/metldr) http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Talk:Flash:bootldr http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Talk:Flash:asecure_loader
  8. a videogame console is a device with a specific set of frozen system specifications combined with a shop/online environment that thus makes it easy to develop and deliver for. No surprises for customers, all consoles within the same set share the same minimal hardware, the same sofware and the same application/game titles... Connect it, insert the game and play.
  9. The competition will end on the 31st of August. 40

  11. If you try to start a piracy discussion in an dev IRC channel, one is quickly shunned/banned, no surprises there... HDMI :: You mean the Panasonic HDMI component that is wikified on all 3 devwiki's? LOL someone might as well move this topic to the drama section...
  12. Not that it is anything special, mice and keyboards have been around since the very first PlayStation 1 (and have been around in the PS2 and PS3 era - in fact Logitech did many HID tests and recommendations for Sony in the PS3 prototype era)
  13. That is why PC master race won there thezander, they emulate all that on their PCs
  14. thezander, people there use metrotunnels, traintracks, sidewalks etc. cause accidents and more delays whenever they get stuck and need to be hauled off. Personally I find the stickers even low punishment, considering sidewalks are for the most vulnerable traffic : pedestrians - including kids. It would be nice to see this go even further with people throwing pigsblood symbolising killed pedestrians and smashing car windows with their bodies as accident...
  15. Don't understand why you need a step by step tutorial for this though, straight from the PS4/Plex/UniversalMediaServer manuals.... Tutorial: - configure a proper DLNA render profile - (re)start your DLNA server in your LAN - install and run Media Player on the PS4 - enjoy
